Nong Khiaw is a village in Luang Prabang province, Northern Laos. Situated on the Nam Ou river which flows into the Mekong further South, Nong Khiaw gives a great introduction to the idealistic atmosphere of Northern Laos. The village is famous for its stunning limestone karst mountains, untouched virgin forest and different Lao ethnic groups including Khamu and Hamong tribes.

This is a great spot to visit if you enjoy hiking or if you just want to explore the countryside of Laos.
