Pu Luong Trekking Tour

08.00: Travel towards Mai Chau by coach. The journey is approximately 3.5hrs, with wonderful scenery including rice paddies and green mountains. A short break along the way is included.

You enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road via a breathtaking mountain pass, giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. You will have a chance to mingle with nature, pass through villages located on the mountain side and see beautiful terraced fields, green primitive forests, water wheels - a typical tool of the Thai people, and learn the traditional farming methods of the ethnic people.

After a day discovering Pu Luong, you can stay in airy and spacious houses-on-stilts of the local ethnic people or relax at a beautiful resort.

Overnight in Pu Luong.

This is a common and easy walk around the most beautiful valley of rice terraces in front of the accommodation. You will walk around tumbling rice terraces and through small paths shrouded in vegetation to slowly reveal the picturesque Uoi village sitting at the base of a towering mountain. It’s photoshooting time when you see the panoramic view of the village from above.

Continue walk down the hill to a local home, where you can take a rest, then walk through the rice paddies and village to village, bridge to bridge to explore more scenic landscapes surrounding you. You will end up at Hieu Hamlet, after crossing a suspension bridge and climbing a slope. Tourists finally arrive at the place where two waterfalls rush noisily. From afar, you can hear the rumbling sound of these waterfalls. Here, small branches of a stream run around the hamlet, through houses-on-stilts at the foot of staircases, to paddy fields and then merging into two grandiose waterfalls.

We spend the night in the village Hieu in a house on stilt or a lodge.

After breakfast, we will reach Pho Doan town where you have a chance to visit the market. If this falls on a Thursday or Sunday, Pho Doan market will be very busy. Afterward we trek along the Ma River. We will be picked up and taken to Hanoi.
