Meet your guide and driver at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for Tra Vinh, a peaceful province in the Mekong Delta known for its strong Khmer cultural heritage, beautiful Buddhist temples, lush countryside, and coconut-lined landscapes.

Upon arrival, check in to Thala Tra Vinh, a peaceful countryside retreat surrounded by rice fields and swaying coconut palms. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink before settling into your comfortable bungalow.

In the afternoon, discover the fascinating tradition of Khmer Performing Masks, an important form of traditional art used in cultural performances, festivals, and community celebrations. Learn about the history and meaning behind this unique local tradition.

 

Continue with a hands-on cooking experience where you will learn to prepare Cốm Dẹp, a traditional specialty of the Khmer community in the Mekong Delta. Made from young sticky rice gently flattened and combined with creamy coconut milk, this fragrant delicacy is one of Tra Vinh's distinctive local treats.

This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and traditional Khmer flavors.

After dinner, experience a captivating Apsara Dance Performance. This graceful Khmer dance is an important performing art traditionally associated with festivals, ceremonies, and special community celebrations.

Enjoy breakfast and the peaceful atmosphere of the Mekong Delta countryside before setting out on a cycling tour through rural Tra Vinh.

Cycle along quiet country roads in Cau Ke District, passing green rice paddies, tropical fruit orchards, and traditional villages. Along the way, observe the daily life of local farmers and experience the slower pace of life in the Mekong Delta.

Stop at Mrs. Thia's House to learn about traditional rural life and local livestock farming practices. Continue to a traditional rice-milling house to discover how rice is processed using time-honored methods.

The cycling route then takes you to a beautiful Khmer pagoda, where you can admire the intricate architecture and learn more about the Buddhist traditions and cultural heritage of the Khmer community in southern Vietnam.

Before returning to Thala Tra Vinh, stop at Thala Rest Stop for panoramic views of the surrounding rice fields. Meet local farmers and discover Macapuno Coconut (Cốm Dừa Sáp), one of Tra Vinh's most famous specialties.

You will also learn about the native Mù U Tree, traditionally used to produce natural oil and handmade torches.

End your cycling experience by tasting the rich and creamy Macapuno Coconut before returning to the hotel.

Check out and continue your journey to Chau Doc, one of the most fascinating destinations in the Mekong Delta. Located near the Cambodian border, Chau Doc is known for its river culture, canals, floating markets, religious sites, and diverse local communities.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

In the afternoon, continue to the spectacular Tra Su Cajuput Forest, one of the most beautiful natural attractions in the Mekong Delta.

Travel through the peaceful waterways of the forest before continuing by traditional sampan into narrower canals. Surrounded by lush cajuput trees, the waterways are often covered with vibrant green duckweed, creating an unforgettable landscape.

Tra Su is also home to a rich variety of birdlife and other wildlife. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you explore this unique wetland ecosystem and experience one of the most scenic corners of the Mekong Delta.

Return to Chau Doc and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
