Upon arrival, travel to a charming riverside village hidden beneath hundreds of coconut palm trees. Welcome to Mekong Home, a family-run retreat featuring cozy bungalows nestled in a tropical garden along the Mekong River. Enjoy a refreshing fresh coconut before settling into your room.
Spend the afternoon at leisure before embarking on a one-hour sunset cruise along the Ham Luong River. Relax on the peaceful river while enjoying local cookies and fresh fruit juice and admiring the beautiful sunset over the Mekong Delta.
Return to the lodge in the late afternoon and join a hands-on cooking class to learn how to make Bánh Xèo, a traditional Vietnamese crispy pancake.

Cycle along peaceful concrete paths shaded by fruit orchards and coconut palms as you experience everyday life in the Mekong Delta.
Along the way, pass through a lively local market, where villagers trade fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, and other local produce.
Subject to availability, visit a traditional coconut-stem basket workshop and a coconut-processing workshop. Meet local artisans and learn about the traditional techniques used to create these handcrafted products.
Continue cycling and board a local Mekong ferry to cross the river to Oc Island. Ride along narrow village paths surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, passing simple homes and observing the daily life of local residents whose livelihoods depend on farming and traditional handicrafts.
Stop at a local fish farm to learn about the cultivation of two important Mekong Delta catfish species: ca tra (Pangasius hypophthalmus) and ca ba sa (Pangasius bocourti).

Continue to a traditional rice-milling house to see how rice is processed using time-honored methods.
The journey then takes you to a beautiful Khmer pagoda, where you can admire the intricate architecture and gain insight into the unique culture and Buddhist traditions of the Khmer community.
Before returning, stop at Thala Rest Stop to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding rice fields. Meet local farmers and discover Macapuno Coconut (Cốm Dừa Sáp), one of Tra Vinh's most famous specialties.

Afterwards, depart for Tra Su Cajuput Forest, an ecological sanctuary renowned for its flooded cajuput forest, peaceful waterways, and rich biodiversity.
Board a small boat and glide through emerald-green waterways covered with duckweed, surrounded by towering cajuput trees. Continuing by traditional sampan, quietly exploring the narrow canals while observing native birds and wildlife in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, continue to Chau Doc, a charming riverside town near the Cambodian border. Known for its multicultural heritage, religious sites, and traditional river life, Chau Doc offers a fascinating glimpse into another side of the Mekong Delta.
