The grand beginning of your 25-day journey commences in Hanoi, Vietnam's storied capital. As your international flight touches down at Noi Bai Airport, the meticulous planning of your bespoke travel planner springs into action. You will be greeted immediately at the International Arrivals Hall by our dedicated Fast Track Immigration Representative, holding a sign bearing your name, ushering you past the typical queues for an effortless immigration and customs clearance. Once your luggage is seamlessly collected, a private driver will be waiting to transport you to your opulent hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is yours to unwind, allowing the city's unique blend of French colonial charm and vibrant Vietnamese energy to gently wash over you before your exploration begins in earnest.

Accommodation: Apricot Hotel, or Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel.

Awakening in the elegant embrace of Hanoi, your day begins with an intimate dive into the city's soul. We commence a full-day cultural immersion, starting at the tranquil, expansive waters of West Lake, leading you to the venerable Tran Quoc Pagoda. This ancient shrine, known as the city's oldest and originally constructed in the sixth century, stands as a peaceful island of history before a short walk brings you to Quan Thanh Temple, a keeper of the capital's sacred heritage. The morning continues its philosophical journey at the peaceful Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first national university, a beautiful sanctuary of scholarly tradition. Returning to the bustling heart, a visit to the spiritual Ngoc Son temple on Hoan Kiem Lake awaits. As dusk settles, prepare for a sensory revelation: a street food tour through the electric arteries of Ta Hien, Luong Ngoc Quyen, Hang Giay, and Dao Duy Tu streets. Your guide, a storyteller of Vietnamese daily life, will illuminate the secrets behind the preparation of local and traditional dishes. You will savor Bun Cha, the iconic symphony of rice noodles, grilled pork, fresh herbs, and dipping sauce, and indulge in Banh Cuon, the delicate, thin sheet of steamed rice that has been a beloved Hanoi specialty for generations. The culinary adventure culminates with a perfectly rich cup of Egg Coffee on Nguyen Huu Huan Street or a refreshing local beer on Ta Hien Street.

Accommodation: Apricot Hotel, or Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel.

After a final, delicious breakfast in Hanoi, you check out and board your comfortable private vehicle for a picturesque six-hour drive north, ascending into the misty mountains of Sapa. Upon arrival and check-in at your luxurious mountain retreat, you’ll have a moment to absorb the crisp alpine air before the afternoon's awe-inspiring adventure. You will take the world’s longest and highest cable car, gliding effortlessly towards the peak of Fansipan Mountain - the fabled "Rooftop of Indochina." Reaching the staggering height of 3,143m, you are treated to a panoramic vista of lush green subtropical vegetation, an unforgettable tableau for capturing truly spectacular memories. After savoring the scenery from this incredible altitude, the cable car will descend, delivering you back to the charming town of Sapa for a peaceful evening.

Accommodation: Hotel de la Coupole – MGallery, or Silk Path Grand Sapa Resort & Spa.

Today is dedicated to connecting with the spirit of the mountains and the warm-hearted people who call them home. Following breakfast, your guide and driver will provide a short transfer to Y Linh Ho village, the gateway to the Black Hmong minority community. From here, your easy trek begins, leading you into the verdant folds of the Muong Hoa valley. You will wander through the terraced rice fields, first passing through Lao Chai village (Black Hmong), and then continuing along the popular route to Ta Van village, home to the Giay minority. This walk offers an intimate glimpse into the distinct cultures and daily rhythms of the ethnic hill tribes, their vibrant textiles, and their age-old agricultural practices. After soaking in the stunning valley scenery and cultural exchanges, a private car will meet you at Ta Van to transfer you comfortably back to Sapa.

Accommodation: Hotel de la Coupole – MGallery, or Silk Path Grand Sapa Resort & Spa.

Your morning is free for personal exploration or relaxation, a tranquil pause before the next leg of your journey. After checking out, you embark on the scenic drive back towards the Red River Delta, first arriving near Hanoi, and then continuing directly south to the ancient, breathtaking landscapes of Ninh Binh. This entire transfer is designed for comfort, allowing you to watch the panorama shift from mountainous rice terraces to the flat, verdant plains that characterize northern Vietnam's heartland. Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, you check into your boutique resort, ready to explore this land of limestone karsts.

Accommodation: Tam Coc Garden Resort or Emeralda Tam Coc.

The day unfolds into a mythological landscape, beginning with a visit to Hoa Lu, the venerable capital of Grand Viet nearly a millennium ago, ruled by the Dinh and Le Dynasties. Despite the passage of time and historical conflicts, Hoa Lu stands preserved, steeped in legends and myths, its temples and pagodas offering a window into Vietnam's feudal past. The true highlight, however, awaits as you embark on a captivating boat trip through the winding stream of either Tam Coc (“inland Halong Bay”) or Trang An. This is a scene of otherworldly beauty: forested limestone mountains dramatically contrasting with emerald-green water, as your sampan glides through mystical caves, lowlands, and rivers. At Trang An - a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized since 2014 - you will explore a network of 11 tunnel caves, adorned with beautiful stalactites. So evocative is this landscape that the Kong movie crew chose it for the filming of Skull Island in 2016. Concluding the aquatic wonder, you proceed to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave), where the challenge of climbing almost 500 stone steps is rewarded with the ultimate panoramic view of Tam Coc from the peak of Lying Dragon Mountain.

Accommodation: Tam Coc Garden Resort or Emeralda Tam Coc.

Today, your bespoke travel planner has arranged an intimate cultural immersion. You transfer to the tranquil Van Long Nature Reserve to be warmly welcomed into the home of a typical three-generation rural family. Over a cup of local tea, you’ll engage in meaningful conversation, gaining genuine insight into their idyllic local lifestyles. Following this, you have the option to take a refreshing 15km bike ride or a peaceful walk through the village. A journey along the dike offers gorgeous, cinematic landscapes of sprawling rice fields, winding rivers, and dramatic limestone mountains, punctuated by stops for stunning photography and local encounters. You’ll walk to Thung La Temple, dating back to the 11th century, meet the temple guardian, and enjoy an authentic 20-minute drum show. The final spectacular activity is a sampan boat trip through Van Long Nature Reserve itself, hoping for a lucky sighting of rare white monkeys and egrets on the cliffs. To conclude this rich day, you visit an embroidery village and participate in a course led by a local craftswoman, who will proudly explain the techniques of her traditional art, offering a hands-on opportunity to practice this delicate craft. In the late afternoon, you return to Hanoi, filled with the quiet beauty of the countryside.

Accommodation: Apricot Hotel, or Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel.

An early start sees you transferred to the airport for your flight to Dong Hoi. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will meet you, and the day's exploration begins with a transfer to the city center. You'll visit the bustling local seafood market and the coastline of Dong Hoi, getting a feel for life on the Central Vietnamese coast before driving toward the majestic Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. The afternoon is reserved for an adventure into the subterranean world. You will take a serene boat ride upstream on the Son River, leading you to the entrance of Phong Nha Grotto. Located within the World Natural Heritage Site, this second-largest grotto in Vietnam is a geological treasure, possessing values formed over 500 million years ago. Its spectacular beauty promises an unforgettable and humbling experience.

Accommodation: Victory Road Villas.

Embrace an exciting day of outdoor adventure! After breakfast, you will embark on a picturesque cycling tour with a local guide, exploring the National Park's hidden paths, cycling beside towering limestone mountains and through welcoming, friendly villages. A poignant stop is made at the Eight Ladies Cave, where you burn incense and hear the heroic story of the local women who made a great sacrifice. Next, the subterranean magic continues as you visit Paradise Cave - Asia’s longest dry grotto - marveling at its cathedral-like chambers, adorned with magical, illuminated stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch is served at the service area near Paradise Cave. The afternoon escalates the adventure: a trek is followed by kayaking on the pristine, emerald Chay River, leading you to the Dark Cave. Keep your eyes peeled for fleeting glimpses of local birds, butterflies, and dragonflies, and take time to refresh yourself with a swim in the beautiful, clear waters. After the exhilaration, you are transferred back to your hotel for a well-deserved, leisurely evening.

Accommodation: Victory Road Villas.

After breakfast, you begin the long, yet scenic, drive south towards the coastal metropolis of Da Nang. The drive offers changing scenery, providing ample opportunity to appreciate the diverse topography of Vietnam. You will make a planned stop in the former imperial capital of Hue for lunch (at your own expense), allowing a brief pause before continuing the final leg of the journey to Da Nang, where the city lights and coastal charm await.

Accommodation: Hilton Da Nang, or Furama Resort Da Nang, or TIA Wellness Resort.

Following a leisurely morning, the afternoon whisks you away to Nui Chua Mountain for the ascent to Ba Na Hills via its world-record-breaking cable car system. At an altitude of 1,487m, Ba Na Hills is poetically coined the “heaven on earth,” celebrated for its spectacular microclimate that cycles through four seasons in a single day. You will step into the timeless elegance of the French Village, a tranquil reenactment of old-fashioned France with recognizable classical landmarks. The crowning jewel is the Golden Bridge, voted by TIME magazine as one of the “Top 10 Best Destinations of the World 2018.” Walking on this majestic structure, seemingly held aloft by gigantic stone hands amidst the foggy hills, offers a gorgeous, ethereal view of Da Nang City below. You’ll have free time to explore Fantasy Park, Vietnam's largest indoor game zone, and the Jurassic Park area. The day concludes back on the coast with a visit to the Son Tra Peninsula to admire the serene Linh Ung Pagoda, home to Vietnam’s highest Goddess of Mercy Statue, providing stunning views of the beach and Cham Islands. A final stop includes the impressive Dragon Bridge and the bustling Han Market.

Accommodation: Hilton Da Nang, or Furama Resort Da Nang, or TIA Wellness Resort.

Originally established as a summer retreat by the French, Da Lat’s cool temperatures and lush landscapes continue to enchant. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and drive to your hotel, pausing en route to witness the powerful, dramatic cascade of Datanla Waterfall. Later in the afternoon, you visit the enchanting Dalat Railway Station, revered as the oldest and most beautiful railway station in Indochina, perfect for capturing evocative photographs. The City’s Flower Garden is your final stop, presenting a vibrant, plentiful collection of flowers native to this uniquely temperate region.

The journey continues through fragrant Vegetable and Flower Farms and includes a stop at a Silk Factory and sprawling Coffee Plantations.
