Welcome to the Kingdom of Wonder. Upon landing at Phnom Penh International Airport, complete your immigration procedures (visa on arrival available or via e-visa). Meet your local guide at the exit gate and transfer into the city for check‑in (from 2 PM). The rest of the day is yours - unwind, refresh, and gently ease into Cambodia’s rhythm.

Accommodation: Hotel in Phnom Penh.

Begin the day with a powerful journey into Cambodia’s recent past. Travel 17km beyond the city to Cheung Ek Killing Fields, a serene landscape that belies the tragedies that once unfolded here. The memorial stupa and scattered mass graves stand as solemn reminders of the Khmer Rouge era.

Continue to the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) - a former high school transformed into an interrogation center. The modest classrooms, once filled with students, now echo the stories of resilience and devastation.

In the afternoon, step into Cambodia’s royal heritage at the Royal Palace (built in 1866) and the adjacent Silver Pagoda, home to a collection of gilded and bejeweled Buddha statues. Then ascend to Wat Phnom, the namesake of Phnom Penh, perched atop a leafy hill and deeply tied to the legend of Lady Penh. Locals gather here to pray, stroll, and watch the sun set over the city.

Accommodation: Hotel in Phnom Penh.

Journey northwest toward Battambang, stopping first at Phnom Udong, Cambodia’s former royal capital. Climb the stupa‑studded hill for sweeping views of the plains - an area scarred by past wars yet still profoundly beautiful.

Nearby, visit the serene Vipassana Dhura Meditation Center. Marvel at the jade Buddha, the preserved monk, and vibrant murals illustrating scenes from the Ramayana.

Continue to Kompong Chhnang, renowned for its traditional pottery. Then travel north into Pursat Province, home to skilled marble carvers.

As dusk approaches, head to Phnom Sampeu to witness one of nature’s most mesmerizing shows: thousands of bats spiraling out of their caves in a dramatic black‑cloud formation across the evening sky.

Accommodation: Hotel in Battambang.

Start your morning at Wat Ta Mem, learning about life inside a Cambodian monastery. Continue to the iconic Bamboo Train, a quirky local rail platform powered by a small engine. Glide 8km across rice fields and rural scenery - a delightfully simple yet unforgettable experience.

Next, climb over 350 steps to the 11th‑century Phnom Banan Temple, perched atop a quiet mountaintop with sweeping countryside views - a perfect place for reflection.

On the way to Siem Reap, stop at the National Silk Centre in Puok District. Learn about every stage of Cambodia’s silk‑making: nurturing mulberry plants, tending silkworms, harvesting cocoons, and weaving shimmering fabrics by hand.

Accommodation: Hotel in Siem Reap.

Visit Preah Khan, once a bustling monastic complex with nearly 100,000 attendants. Continue to the tranquil island‑temple Neak Poan, and afterward, admire the photogenic gates of Ta Som, embraced by banyan roots.

Stop at the Cambodia Landmine Museum, founded by Aki Ra - former child soldier turned humanitarian deminer and CNN Hero nominee. His life’s mission has transformed countless communities.

Travel further into the countryside to the exquisitely carved Banteay Srei, the “Citadel of Women.” Its pink sandstone friezes are considered the finest in all Khmer art. Visit Pradark Village to observe palm‑sugar making and handicraft traditions.

End at Banteay Samre, a temple rich with dramatic carvings and rose‑hued stone.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Apsara dance dinner, an elegant Khmer art form blending storytelling, mythology, and graceful movement.

Accommodation: Hotel in Siem Reap.

Rise before dawn to witness the iconic sunrise over Angkor Wat, the temple glowing slowly into gold as the sky brightens.

Explore the vast galleries, shifting shadows, and sandstone devatas of Angkor Wat, before continuing to the jungle‑embraced Ta Prohm, where silk‑cotton and strangler‑fig roots coil dramatically around ancient stonework.

Next, step into the mysterious charm of Bayon Temple, famous for its 54 towers carved with 216 enigmatic smiling faces.

End your day capturing sunset at one of Angkor Thom’s gates, overlooking its tranquil moat.

Accommodation: Hotel in Siem Reap.

Sail across the vast waters of Tonlé Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Visit its floating villages - schools, homes, and police stations drifting with the seasons.

Then visit a local pagoda for a traditional Srouch Teok water‑blessing ceremony. As a monk chants in ancient Pali, you are gently splashed with holy water - a symbolic cleansing of misfortune and renewal of good luck.

Continue to APOPO HeroRAT Center to learn how trained mine‑detecting rats help save lives and restore safe land across Cambodia.

Transfer to Siem Reap Airport for your onward flight. Thank you for exploring Cambodia with us—we warmly invite you to return again soon.
