Your grand Indonesian discovery begins upon arrival at Medan Kuala Namu Airport (KNO). After a warm welcome from your guide, you commence the scenic drive north-westward, leaving the urban landscape behind for the lush, vital greenery of the Bohorok Orangutan center. The journey is a visual feast, transitioning through small, characterful towns and vast plantations of rubber and oil palm, offering glimpses of the rich countryside life. Your guide will pause briefly to allow you to observe the palm oil production from outside. If seasonal conditions permit, you may also stop to explore local rambutan and cacao gardens, and experience the lively atmosphere of the local market in Kuala. Arrive at the remote Bukit Lawang village at Bohorok, where you check into your rustic yet evocative jungle accommodation, preparing for the wilderness immersion to come.

Overnight in Bukit Lawang.

After an early jungle breakfast, the highlight of your Sumatran chapter begins: an exhilarating 6-hour jungle trekking experience into the heart of the rainforest. Led by expert local trackers, you will navigate steep slopes and dense, thriving vegetation, embarking on a quest to see the semi-wild and wild Orangutans. This dense tropical ecosystem offers the potential to encounter a remarkable array of indigenous flora and fauna, including leaf monkeys, macaques, gibbons, siamangs, and abundant bird life. Note: Walkers must be fit and wear suitable, robust shoes; the trekking pace is carefully adjusted to your stamina. Conclude this physically rewarding trek with a playful, exhilarating descent: tubing down the river using large rubber tubes, allowing the cool, rushing water to carry you gently back to the lodge for a well-deserved evening of rest.

Overnight in Bukit Lawang.

Enjoy a final jungle breakfast before checking out. Your private vehicle drives you back to Medan Kuala Namu Airport via the plantation road, offering a last, lingering view of the tropical landscape. Board your flight bound for the ancient imperial city of Yogyakarta in Central Java. Upon arrival at the airport, your Javanese guide meets you and transfers you directly to your luxury accommodation—either the historical elegance of The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta - Handwritten Collection or the refined comfort of Melia Purosani Yogyakarta—where you settle in, ready for the historical wonders that await.

Overnight in Yogyakarta.

Today is dedicated to exploring two of Southeast Asia’s most profound architectural masterpieces. Begin at Borobudur Temple, the world’s largest Buddhist relic, an awe-inspiring monument consisting of six square platforms adorned with intricate relief panels and crowned by colossal stupas. As you journey back towards the city, you pause at the connected, smaller temples of Pawon and Mendut, spiritual stepping stones located just 2 km from Borobudur. In the afternoon, you delve into the Hindu majesty of the Prambanan Temple Complex. Reputedly the largest and most beautiful Hindu temple in Indonesia, it is characterized by its signature tall and pointed architecture, dominated by the towering 47-meter high central structure dedicated to the God Shiva, flanked by temples for Brahma and Wisnu. Note: Both Borobudur and Prambanan temples are typically closed to visitors on Monday.

Overnight in Yogyakarta.

Drive south of Yogyakarta to explore a blend of natural beauty and spiritual sanctity. Your first destination is Maria Cave Tritis, a silent, peaceful place nestled between limestone cliffs, used by Catholic pilgrims as a retreat area for reflection. Next, ascend to Becici Peak, where you can absorb sweeping, beautiful scenery of Yogyakarta and its surroundings—a panoramic vista perfect for photography. The afternoon introduces you to the high-perched temples, starting with Ijo Temple, built on the western slope of a hill to honor the Hinduist Gods. Conclude the late afternoon at Barong Temple, a fascinating stepped terrace structure that reflects the ancient design of pre-Hindu megalithic sacred structures in Java. If the weather holds clear, you are perfectly positioned to wait and witness a spectacular Javanese sunset.

Overnight in Yogyakarta.

After a final Javanese breakfast, your private transfer whisks you to Yogyakarta Airport for your flight to the famed Island of the Gods: Bali. Upon arrival at Denpasar, you are met by your Balinese guide and driven to the vibrant, cultural enclave of Ubud. Check into your exquisite resort, such as the tranquil Inara Alas Harum or the authentic Kajane Mua Ubud, ready to begin your immersion into Balinese art, spirituality, and nature.

Overnight in Ubud.

Your cultural exploration begins at the picturesque Tegallalang Rice Terrace, known for its charming, terraced landscape. En route to the next destination, visit a local coffee plantation where you can observe the process of making various local coffee and tea products and enjoy a tasting session. The main destination is the sacred Tirta Empul Temple, one of Bali’s most unique temples, featuring a holy bathing pool. Here, you have the optional opportunity to participate in a purification ritual using the temple's sacred spring water (traditional cloth is provided and mandatory before entering). After a replenishing lunch at a local restaurant, the day concludes with a visit to the mystical Ubud Monkey Forest, a sanctuary and natural habitat for hundreds of long-tailed macaques, who playfully guard the ancient temple within the deep forest.

Overnight in Ubud.

Check out of your Ubud hotel and embark on an unforgettable pre-dawn adventure. You are transferred to Kintamani to begin the invigorating Mount Batur Sunrise Trek. This challenging, yet rewarding 4-6 hour climb allows you to witness the spectacular volcanic dawn, with the archipelago awakening beneath your feet. After exploring the summit and descending, you enjoy a well-earned relaxation session at a local natural hot springs pool. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Continuing your cultural journey, you visit Penglipuran Village, a pristine community that steadfastly upholds the ancestral noble values. Admire the traditional architecture and community layout built on the sacred Tri Mandapa concept—this clean, green, and shady village has earned recognition in the Green Destination foundation’s Sustainable Destinations top 100 list. You are then transferred to your refined accommodation in South Bali.

Overnight in South Bali.

After breakfast, transfer to Bali’s Denpasar Airport for your flight to Labuan Bajo, the gateway to the Komodo National Park. Upon arrival, you embark on a cultural exploration, starting with a visit to Rumah Tenun to observe the intricate process of traditional ikat weaving. Next, delve into the semi-darkness of Batu Cermin (Mirror Cave), a fascinating geological formation where sunlight angles reflect off the rock formations like mirrors. Conclude the afternoon with a visit to Panorama Point, soaking in the stunning views of Labuan Bajo and the surrounding islands before checking into your coastal retreat, such as Plataran Komodo Resort & Spa or Hotel Bintang Flores.

Overnight in Labuan Bajo.

Today is the ultimate island adventure. After breakfast, transfer to the harbor to board a speed boat for the Komodo National Park. Your first destination is Padar Island. A walk to the highest point rewards you with the magnificent, tri-colored panoramic vista that defines this iconic archipelago. Continue sailing to Komodo Island (Loh Liang Jetty). Accompanied by a local ranger, you embark on a trek in search of the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat, potentially encountering wild buffalo, deer, and various tropical birds. Lunch boxes are provided. The journey continues to the sublime Pink Beach, famous for its rose-hued sand, where you can snorkel and discover the splendid underwater world. Next, search for majestic Manta rays at Manta Point before sailing to Rinca Island (Loh Buaya Jetty) for one last ranger-led walk to observe the dragons. In the late afternoon, you sail back to the harbor and are transferred to your hotel.

Overnight in Labuan Bajo.

Savor breakfast at your hotel, enjoying the quiet morning at leisure. At the designated time, you are transferred to the airport for your flight back to Bali. Upon arrival at Denpasar Airport, your guide meets you and transfers you to your final hotel in South Bali, allowing you to settle in and enjoy the vibrant coastal atmosphere for your last night in Indonesia.

Overnight in South Bali.

Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast in Bali. You have free time this morning to relax before your private transfer takes you to Bali Airport for your onward international flight, concluding your unforgettable Indonesian journey.
