After breakfast, we start hiking from Hang Co Vua village of H’mong ethnic minority people, we follow the terraced fields and conquer the pine forests. Enjoy the fresh cool air in the middle of nature and mountains. During the hike, we will have the opportunity to look at the forest orchid flowers, hear the birds singing and see the occasional squirrels. After 2 hours walking, arrive at villages where people from the Hua Khat ethnic minority Hmong live, discover extremely simple lives and many wild characters. Though indigenous people can not communicate with us because of the language barrier, we can feel their warm welcome and friendliness. Leaving the village, you will be completely surprised to see the valley of terraced fields, which is the mark of human impact on nature in a harmonious way. We can imagine as the space carved by the hands of the artists.
Enjoy a local lunch and continue the journey to Cai Dong – La Khat Village and enjoy the picturesque scenery of Mu Cang Chai. The beautiful scenes and simple life of the Hmong people is the highlight of your day. Return to the homestay or the lodge. Enjoy a special dinner and stay overnight.
Dinner and overnight in Mu Cang Chai.
We get up early, enjoy the fresh air and admire the peace of the village, then we drive to Sang Village where the Hmong live. Walking for 2 hours on the trails, it is also the border between two provinces of Yen Bai and Son La. Enjoy the spectacular terraced fields in Ngoc Chien valley. Beautiful scenery and landscapes here are the ideal destination for photographers and painters. Standing down from above, you will be startled and ask yourself is this the work of humans or god. After lunch, a short walk between small villages gives you the possibility to meet and talk with friendly and innocent local people. It’s great to see barefoot chubby children following their mothers to the mountains where they cultivate crops. Here, many shy children try to hide their faces behind the fences so that visitors from different cities cannot see them. Several picturesque villages are connected by bamboo suspension bridges crossing the singing streams. There are thousands of centuries old Pơ mu wooden stilt houses of the Thai people hidden in the early morning mist.
In the afternoon, we drive back to Hanoi.
Arrival at Hanoi in the evening, the trip ends.
