Itinerary
Day 01: Hanoi – Ha Giang (L, D)
Day 02: Ha Giang – Dong Van (B, L)
Day 03: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Ha Giang- Ha Thanh village (B, L, D)
Day 04: Ha Thanh village – Hanoi (B, L).
With your guide and driver, you leave Hanoi for a 7-hours drive to Ha Giang. As you leave the Red River Delta the scenery will start to change as you enter the mountains of Northern Vietnam. You will arrive in Tuyen Quang around noon and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. After your meal, continue the drive to Ha Giang which is the northernmost province in Vietnam, consisting of breathtaking scenery, a colorful array of hill tribes and vibrant local markets (these rotate on a daily basis). As this is a remote area, accommodation and facilities are of basic level, however we’ll make sure your journey is as comfortable as possible. Upon arrival in Ha Giang, check into hotel to refresh then take an afternoon walk to a Tay Hill Tribe village, beautifully set in a stunning valley close to town. Return to your hotel for an evening free at leisure. Overnight in Ha Giang.
After breakfast we go by car to Dong Van, on the way visit Lung Tam handicraft village of H'Mong hill tribe. Have some stops for taking photos and contemplate breathtaking landscape of the area.
In the afternoon, we visit some villages on the way: Vuong Chi Sinh's house, a land lord of H'Mong hill tribe in the past. Sung La village, which became a popular tourist destination after it was featured in the 2006 film Chuyen Cua Pao (Pao's Story).Arrive at Dong Van; check in guest house, free time to visit the small town. Overnight in Dong Van.
Have breakfast, then visit Dong Van Market (highly recommend Sunday market). Depart to Meo Vac along the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass. On the way you can visit Meo Vac. Have lunch in Yen Minh town. On the way to Ha Giang visit a Dzao village of Na Khe, Lo Lo village.
Transfer directly to Ha Thanh or Thon Tha village, check in homestay of a Tay family.
Enjoy dinner with family and overnight in a stilt house.
Overnight in Ha Giang.
After breakfast, we walk to visit the villages and transfer back to Hanoi.
End of the trip.
