Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pu Luong

08.00: Travel towards Mai Chau by coach. The journey is approximately 3.5hrs, with wonderful scenery including rice paddies and green mountains. A short break along the way is included.

12h00: Arrival at Mai Chau. Welcome drink and cold/hot towel to be served, followed by an appetizing lunch. The fresh, tasty dishes include local vegetables, ingredients and flavors such as green bean, black mushrooms, fish and chicken cooked in Muong or Thai ethnic minority style.

15h30: Start your journey to discover the interesting surroundings and ethnic minority tribes with a relaxing walk to Thái villages of Pom Coong and Lac and explore Mo Luong cave on the other side of the hotel.

Return to your hotel, then free time at your leisure.

Overnight in Mai Chau.

After breakfast, we drive to Pu Luong.

We enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road via a breathtaking mountain pass, giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. You will have a chance to mingle with nature, pass through villages located on the mountain side and see beautiful terraced fields, green primitive forests, water wheels. You’ll also learn the traditional farming methods of the ethnic people.

After a day discovering Pu Luong, you can stay in airy and spacious houses-on-stilts of the local ethnic people or relax at a beautiful resort.

Overnight in Pu Luong.

Start early to descend into the beautiful valley facing the accommodation where you walk around tumbling rice terraces. Trek through small paths shrouded in vegetation to slowly reveal a picturesque village sitting at the base of a towering mountain.

Continuing to the base of the valley, you weave between roads and farmland, villages and wild fields, ponds and rivers, mountains and open land. Savour the ever-changing scenery as you trek to a beautiful spot. Then you will drive back to Hanoi.
