Itinerary
Depart from Bangkok in the morning and heading for North-Eastern Thailand. Our first stop is at Saraburi. Here, you will visit the site of Phra Phutthabat Shrine, which shelters the prints of the feet of Buddha and many bells of temples. Afterwards, you proceed to Lopburi, and visit Wat Phrasi Maha. Then, you will see the oldest temple with the tallest Prang in Lopburi, Phra Prang Sam Yod; a temple with three towers and impressive ornaments. Eventually, you can admire Prang Khaek, the oldest monument and Khmer-style Hindu shrine found in Thailand’s central region. Lunch break at a local restaurant. On the way to Khao Yai National Park, discover Wat Thep Pithak with the gigantic Buddha sitting on the hill. Finally, we head towards the fruit market of Klang Dong. Arrival and check-in at your hotel.
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Drive through Khao Yai National Park, which extends along a 2,000km road in a mountainous landscape. Enjoy the sceneries and the cascades from Haew Su Wat, Klong Kaew, and its original bridge suspension made of bamboo. You will make various stops en route to give you time to take photos and do sightseeing. You then proceed to Korat, via Sikhio stopping for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue towards Phimai Historical Park and discover Khmer temples, which you’ll see nice examples of the "Angkor Wat" architecture.
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. You drive further North-East to visit the impressive Khmer temples of Prasat Phanom Rung Historical Park in Buriram province. There, its well-known Prasat Hin Pahom Rung is located on the top of the Phanom Rung Mount. It is thought that it was originally built in the 12th century A.D. Now that it is partially restored in its original state, it is believed to have been constructed in the 11th century; next to it is Prasat Hin Muang Tam (Tum). Both temples resemble the Angkor temple ruins and the complexes, located in Cambodia. You stop for lunch at a local restaurant and after that drive we head back to your hotel in Bangkok (Approx... 6 hours driving); you may arrive at your hotel in Bangkok at night time.
